Founder Kelly Je

Kelly Jé, a proud Dallas, Texas native, knows firsthand the struggles of living with mental health conditions. Diagnosed in 2011 with comorbid disorders, including Bipolar Type 1 & 2, Severe Depression, Anxiety, Schizophrenia, Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD), and Panic Attacks, she has walked a path marked by both pain and resilience. The weight of these diagnoses led her to step away from the entertainment industry she loved to focus on her health. But in that season of darkness, Kelly chose to fight—not just for herself, but for those who believed in her, and ultimately, for those who would one day need her voice.

In 2012, she started Team Jess, a personal support system that reminded her she was never alone in her battle. From that foundation of support, F.I.G.H.T. (Focusing In Growth & Holding Together) was born. Kelly understood that true healing required embracing growth while holding onto the people who uplifted her along the way. She believes that like a butterfly struggling to emerge from its cocoon, growth is painful, but necessary—because on the other side of the struggle is the freedom to soar.

A survivor of multiple suicide and self-harm attempts, Kelly’s last attempt in 2018 became her turning point. She made a life-altering decision: to fight for her future, for the unknown possibilities ahead, and most importantly, for her niece and nephew. She refused to let them receive the devastating call that she was gone. Instead, she chose to live, to heal, and to advocate for others who feel lost in their own battles.

Kelly has since become a powerful voice in the mental health community, using her journey to inspire and uplift. She has been featured in Voyage Dallas Magazine and Rally Up Mental Health Magazine, where she was honored as a Mental Health Warrior. Her advocacy has taken her across states, from Texas to Virginia, through radio interviews, podcasts, and speaking engagements. She has volunteered with Sisters Taking on The Prevention of Suicide (S.T.O.P.S), using her lived experience to bring awareness and hope to those who need it most.

On November 12, 2023, Kelly launched H.O.P.E. (Helping Others Persevere to Excellence), a mental health-focused clothing collection that embodies her message: mental illness does not define you—it strengthens you. Through her brand, she encourages open conversations about mental health, ensuring that no one feels alone in their struggle.

Kelly Jé’s journey is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit. Like the butterfly—symbolizing transformation, perseverance, and renewal—she has emerged from her cocoon stronger than ever, dedicated to helping others do the same. As she continues to advocate, inspire, and uplift, she remains a beacon of hope for those still fighting to find their wings.
